Southeast Missouri State University will host its Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Dinner on January 21.
This year’s theme is “The Power of Education and the Value of Community.” Pastor Adrian Taylor, Jr., will be the guest speaker. Pastor Taylor is the founding pastor of Lighthouse United Church in Cape Girardeau and chaplain to the men’s and women’s basketball teams at SEMO. He is widely sought for his insight on leadership, grief, team building, race relations, and spirituality.
The free celebration dinner will take place Wednesday, January 21, at the University Center Ballroom on SEMO’s main campus. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the program begins at 6. Registration is required.
