Kids Day at the Museum: Poppy History
Kids Day at the Museum: Poppy History
Join us for Kids Day at the Museum: Poppy History on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Be a part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the Buddy Poppy, a symbol of remembrance for our fallen soldiers since the end of WWI. This event is open to the public and admission is FREE.
Activities will include storytelling, hands-on crafts, and games that delve into the history of the poppy. Let's unite to honor the sacrifices of our soldiers and create meaningful experiences for our children.
This special event is made possible with the generous support of the VFW and the American Legion. Our monthly Kids Day at the Museum program is sponsored by The Boys and Girls Club of the Heartland, the Dexter Kiwanis Club, the Sikeston Kiwanis Club, and Ameren.
