Invasive Plant ID & Control Workshop
Invasive Plant ID & Control Workshop
Free Invasive Plant ID & Control Workshop in Doniphan—lunch and native plants included.
Invasive plants degrade cattle pastures, tree farms, and wildlife habitat. Landowners and others interested in learning to identify and control invasive plants are encouraged to attend this free workshop organized by the Missouri Invasive Plant Council. Instruction will take place in the classroom and in the field. Lunch and a selection of native plants will be included in free registration!
Topics to be addressed will include invasive woody and non-woody plant ID and treatment methods as well as how to apply for cost-share funding to cover costs of invasive plant control. In addition, registrants will receive several native plants to take home and plant.
This event is free, but registration is required, by April 7. Register by contacting Missouri Prairie Foundation Conservation Program Associate Lilly Germeroth, by email at lilly@moprairie.org or by phone at 314-390-5035. The location of the training will be given with registration.
