Cape Public Library: Jewish Missouri

The Cape Girardeau Public Library will host “Jewish Missouri” on May 19.

The presentation, sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council, will feature Dr. Mara Cohen Ioannides,* an expert on the Jewish experience in Missouri. Her talk will highlight the history of Jews in the state from before the Louisiana Purchase through the First World War, as well as the Jewish goods, influence, and experiences that shaped Missouri. A brief Q&A session will follow.

“Jewish Missouri” will take place on Monday, May 19, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the Hirsch Community Room at the Cape Girardeau Public Library. Registration is recommended but not required.
