2026 King's Ball
2026 King's Ball
The Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve presents the 2026 King's Ball, returning to Ste. Geneviève on Saturday, February 7, welcoming new friends and familiar faces to dance the night away at Missouri’s oldest regency celebration.
As the hall fills with the unmistakable lilt of Dennis Stroughmatt’s Missouri French Creole fiddle, the ancient Epiphany ritual stirs to life: a hidden baby, a crowned King, a chosen Queen, and a year of royal revelry set in motion.
This beloved winter gathering, rooted in Mardi Gras tradition, brings the community together in a space transformed by the shared imagination of rural regency. Guests may purchase individual tickets or reserve a table; food to share is welcome, though outside beverages are not. A cash bar will be open, colonial attire is encouraged but optional, and every dance comes with its own gentle instruction.
Doors open for this annual event at 6 p.m., and the dancing starts at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $20 and students age 5-18 are $10. Those age 4 and under are free but are not guaranteed a chair. Tables of 8 and 10 are available. When purchasing tickets, please choose up to 3 preferred tables and note if you would like to be seated with another party, including that party's name. We will do our best to seat you together.
