The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri will host its 24th Annual Children’s Arts Festival beginning February 2.

The exhibit will feature visual art pieces and poetry created by student artists from more than 20 regional schools and will be on display through February 24.

The Children’s Arts Festival Reception will take place on Friday, February 2 from 4 to 8 p.m. at 16 N. Spanish Street in Cape Girardeau.

6:00 p.m. - Welcome by Carole McDowell and Grumpy the Groundhog

- Introduction of Read II Succeed and "Artistically Ever After"
- Introduction of juror, Vicki Bean, and sponsors
6:20 p.m. - Presentation of awards
6:45 p.m. - Official cake cutting with award recipients
7:00 p.m. - Fingerprint Urban Dance Studios performance
8:00 p.m. - That's a wrap!
