Nitty Gritty Dirt Band Founder, Former Members Performing Jan. 27 at River Campus

Southeast Missouri State University

Happy New Year! As 2018 begins, I encourage you to make one of your New Year’s resolutions visiting the River Campus and all it has to offer.

The Touring Series gets started this year with John McEuen and Friends. You’ll remember John as the founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This American folk musician has assembled a unique cast for a special night to share the music and memories of the landmark "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" album and the band’s incredible career. The multimedia show includes archival photographs, film, narrative and music of their incredible 50-year journey - interwoven with Dirt Band favorites and hot bluegrass.

Sitting in with John are two Nitty Gritty Dirt Band members Les Thompson and John Cable as well as John’s 25-year musical partner Matt Cartsonis and special guest Rodney Dillard. The evening’s journey leads to encores and music from McEuen’s new highly praised record - "Made in Brooklyn. "

Get your tickets now at RiverCampus.org and consider making it an evening by signing up for Art Cuisine to enjoy dinner before the show. As always, I hope to see you soon at the Box Office!
