This story has been updated to reflect an updated time for the president's arrival and subsequent speech.

President Donald Trump will speak at a Springfield manufacturing facility in a private event Wednesday.

The information provided by the White House Monday indicates a much different event than Trump’s trip to Phoenix last week, a campaign-style rally before thousands. Wednesday’s speech is to focus on tax reform, according to the White House, and will viewed primarily by credentialed media. It is not open to the general public.

Trump is scheduled to arrive at Springfield-Branson National Airport just before 1 pm. He’s expected to speak at 1:30 pm inside Loren Cook Company.

The company, which makes ventilation equipment, is located at 2707 N. Barnes St. With 600 employees, it’s one of the city’s larger employers. According to the Springfield News-Leader, company executives contributed to Trump’s presidential campaign last year.

Trump’s visit will come a day after he visits Texas, which has been inundated with flood waters following Tropical Storm Harvey. It was downgraded from a hurricane over the weekend. The president had declared last Friday that a major disaster exists there and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected.
