The special 10th season production reprises the first ever River Campus performance of Big River!  Mark Twain’s timeless classic, sweeps you down the Mighty Mississippi as Huck Finn helps his friend Jim escape to freedom February 22nd through 26th at Bedell Performance Hall.

Sit around the fire and explore another time through the stories of Lewis and Clark at the Nature Center on Friday, February 24th.

Celebrate wine and food with someone special at "A Taste of Romance" at the Mississippi River Hills Wine trail wineries, with a wine and food pairing at Apple Creek Vineyard and Winery, The Barrens Winery, Hunter Valley Winery and Hemman Winery on Saturday February 25th.  

Have you been wondering about some of the big construction projects you’ve seen across town with all those construction trucks rumbling by? We’re here to fill you in! In addition to the 121,000 square feet of soccer fields and basketball and volleyball courts are headed your way inside the Cape Girardeau Sportsplex and the Courtyard by Marriott taking shape inside the historic H&H Building in downtown cape Girardeau, a brand new Drury property is taking shape in the footprint of the old Drury Lodge.  The Drury Plaza Hotel and Conference Center is scheduled to open this summer, and will include over 160 rooms with 14,000+ square feet of adjacent meeting space.  An attached restaurant is also in the works.

2017 promises to be a year full of exciting new developments in Cape Girardeau!
