This week’s episode of KRCU’s Going Public, we’re turning our attention on the media with Dr. Tamara Zellars Buck, an associate professor from the department of Mass Media at Southeast Missouri State University. We’ll talk about the the state of journalism, the ongoing terminology debate of the “alt right” versus “white supremacy,” the contentious relationship between the media and President Elect Donald Trump, and the role of journalists of color in the coming years. Later on in the show we’ll also discuss who exactly the mainstream media is.
