Southeast Missouri center fielder Rachel Anderson, shortstop Sarah Messex and catcher Abby Tillotson were named to the 2018 All-Ohio Valley Conference Team during the league's pre-tournament banquet Tuesday night.
Anderson garnered first-team honors for the second-straight season, while Messex and Tillotson claimed second-team accolades. Anderson became the first Southeast player to earn first-team all-conference honors in back-to-back years since 2007 and 2008.

Meanwhile, the Redhawks track & field teams are also headed to their OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week. Competition began yesterday at Tennessee Tech University. The Redhawk men's team are the two-time defending OVC outdoor champions and have claimed the title three of the last four seasons.
On Wednesday prior to leaving for the championship, Jonno Engelking won his second OVC Male Field Athlete of the Week of the season, after he captured his fourth straight javelin title last Friday at the University of Arkansas. Engelking continues to rank first in the OVC and 11th in the nation with his school-record throw a few weeks ago.
Finally, the SEMO Baseball teams returns home this weekend for their final three home games of the year against Belmont. The series begins tonight will feature a free tailgate provided by River Eagle Distributing and the Cape Girardeau Kiwanis Club. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
