Every one of us is in uncharted territory and we’re not sure how long we will be here.
As we find ourselves in a collective battle against the coronavirus, experts tell us fear comes from uncertainty, lack of control, and is magnified when the situation has no clearly defined end. Hmm…. Does that sound like where we are to you?
Here is what I want to offer. You can control your personal hygiene habits, your social distancing, and your continued engagement in the community even if not in person. For those of you with resources, you can direct your spending dollars locally and support our businesses. And if that is not possible now, it will be when we come out of this and moving forward forever.
For those businesses and workers struggling, we have compiled an ever-changing list of resources, programs, and efforts to help. These can be found on our website www.capechamber.com under the coronavirus tab at the bottom of the page. In addition, we are asking businesses to visit www.keepcapestrong.com and upload pertinent business information. Again, while things are changing daily, we want to help facilitate anything we can to safely help our local economy.
Thanks to great media sources like this, we will continue to update our business community on changes, resources, local, state and federal programs. We understand this is a pandemic and public health is at risk. We also understand for many of you, economic health is also at risk. We will do what we can every day to help.
