Let's Talk Business: 2019 Business Trends

www.vox.com

There is a lot of information out there forecasting business trends for 2019. Are you ready?

There are several central themes when looking at what to expect this year. And while the topics are plentiful, I’d like to highlight just a few.

Cybersecurity will continue to gain in importance as more and more information and banking functions are transferred and completed using intelligent devices. Protecting personal and financial information will be top of mind.

Technological advances will continue but artificial intelligence will not take the place of humans when delivering the customer experience – at least for now.

Technology is core to so much of what we do but personal relationships will still drive business, commerce, and deals.

Marketing will become more and more personal. It will be important for businesses to personalize advertising and marketing efforts.

Voice recognition technology continues to get better so look for more products and services that utilize your voice.

Many industry experts believe mobile advertising spending will represent 50% of all media buys in the coming year or two. This will continue the pressure on traditional media outlets.

Public Policy will become more and more open to the entrepreneurial world. Rules and regulations will be modified to fit a fast paced business environment.

And finally, online customer reviews will continue to gain influence in driving buying decisions. Even today, customer reviews influence more than 95 percent of online sales.
