On April 8, 2024, Missouri will once again be in the path of totality, which will cut across the Southeast part of the state, in particular Poplar Bluff. At 4 minutes and 8 seconds, Poplar Bluff will have more time in totality than any other sizable community.

Poplar Bluff will be your hotspot for viewing and celebrating! The Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce will offer souvenirs for purchase.

Many events will take place over the weekend ahead of the eclipse and the day of the eclipse.

FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2024
- Bricks Off Road Park – Fireworks set to music. Brick’s Firework Show (Camping available as well.)
- 7:00 P.M. Opry at the Historic Rodgers Theatre
- (Time TBD) Night Golf at Ozark Ridge Golf Course

SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2024
- 8:00 A.M. – Wolf Creek Trail Run (1.7 mile walk, 6K, and half marathon)
- 12:00 – 7:00 P.M. Total Eclipse of the Bluff Music Festival at Downtown Poplar Bluff Food trucks, entertainment, and more!
- 7:00 P.M. – Night Ranger at the Black River Coliseum

SUNDAY, APRIL 7, 2024
- 7:00 P.M. – Jeff Foxworthy LIVE at the Black River Coliseum

MONDAY, APRIL 8, 2024
- 10:00 A.M. – Former NASA Astronaut, Tom Akers speaks at Three Rivers College
- 1:56 P.M. Total Solar Eclipse! Duration 4 minutes and 8 seconds.
- 2024 Solar Eclipse Viewing Festival – Hosted by Chaonia Landing (Vendors, food, music, viewing glasses, and a guest astronomy speaker)
- Fellowship General Baptist Church – FREE family friendly event with bounce houses, food, and games.
