The Department of Music at Southeast is proud to announce open auditions for students and community members for Carmen by George Bizet.

Hailed as “one of the greatest operas of all time” for its music and story, Carmen will be told in a contemporary setting, in English, with supporting characters and a large ensemble of police, factory workers, smugglers, and townspeople.

Auditions will be held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at Southeast’s River Campus. Auditionees should prepare one song, aria, or golden age musical theatre piece and bring a copy of music for the provided accompanist.
