It’s looking a lot like Christmas, and for those of you home for the holidays, welcome back! May your week be filled with good cheer, fabulous food and your favorite people.
If you find yourself wondering what to do after the holiday rush is over, we know of a few things going on in town.
It’s your last chance to check out the Glenn House, as it will close for the season at the end of December. Don’t miss this majestic historical home decked out in period furniture and décor. Learn about its history and keep your eyes peeled for a ghost or two from Christmas past.
For more rowdy excitement, head to the Show Me Center for the Basketball Christmas Tournament on December 26 - 29. Sixteen local high school basketball teams will go head-to-head to determine who’s the strongest this year. With multiple archrivals competing, it’s sure to be nonstop energy and your chance to see some of the strongest young players in Missouri. You’ll enjoy fabulous defense, unbelievable shots and maybe even some above-the-rim action.
And don’t overlook the chance for one final bash this year – New Year’s Eve. There’s no better place to spend it than downtown Cape. Many restaurants and bars will have live music past midnight – with drinks flowing and energy high. Or if something low-key is more your style, take a trip on the St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern Railway. They’re hosting a New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery Train Ride. Enjoy dinner, drinks and tall tales. But beware! Someone is a murderer. Can you figure out who it is?
