We Came Home: World War II Veteran Staff Sgt. John Dragoni

In honor of Veterans Day, we’re sharing the stories of local veterans from all of the major wars and conflicts. We begin our series “We Came Home” with a story from WWII veteran Staff Sgt. John Dragoni. At 18 years old he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in August 1943. He went on dozens of reconnaissance missions serving as a radar navigator on the iconic B-29 bomber. This is his story.
