Going Public: The Redhawk Food Pantry Helps Students

Southeast Missouri State University is launching the Redhawk Food Pantry, joining more than 400 other colleges and universities across the country to eliminate hunger on campus. A recent student government study at Southeast indicated that 15% of students had an inadequate food supply at least four times during the semester.

Dan Woods spoke with Southeast President Carlos Vargas about the food pantry.

Dan is a 1994 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He majored in radio and minored in political science. He spent three of his four years at Southeast working as a student announcer at KRCU – the beginning of his radio career.
