The Cape Municipal Band wraps up their Summer 2017 season this Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. with a "Take me to Broadway" concert at Capaha Park.

Fill your fridge with fresh local produce at the Cape Farmer’s Market on Thursday afternoons from noon-5 p.m. at West Park Mall, and at the Cape Riverfront Market on Saturdays from 8 a.m. - noon in downtown Cape Girardeau.

Local musicians are hosting a concert called "Sounds for Hounds" at the River Campus on Saturday, July 29th to benefit the Cape Police Department’s K-9 Unit at 7:30 p.m.

We are excited to welcome the American Duchess to Riverfront Park next month! Owned by the American Queen Steamboat Company, this is the first all suite paddlewheeler on U.S. rivers and she is making her maiden voyage, complete with a stop in Cape Girardeau in August. This completely reconstructed paddlewheeler was created from a 1995 hull and holds 166 passengers who enjoy a daily lectures by a history and culture expert as this paddlewheeler traverses the Mighty Mississippi as well as shore excursions in every port of call, which includes Cape Girardeau.

While passengers are visiting our river city, they’ll enjoy tours of the Red House Interpretive Center, Old St. Vincent’s Church, the Glenn House, Crisp Museum and the Cape River Heritage Museum as well as time to explore our historic downtown area. Other riverboats docking at the Port of Cape Girardeau this summer and fall include the American Queen Steamboat Company’s American Queen. The American Cruise Line company brings the Queen of the Mississippi and the America to our riverfront, and they are scheduled to make over a dozen dockings at Cape Girardeau this season. Due to security policies, public tours of these beautiful boats are unfortunately not available, but seeing these grand vessels docked at the Port of Cape Girardeau is well worth a trip to the riverfront!
