Mark Redburn was named Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year and junior center fielder Rachel Anderson was voted the league's Player of the Year. Redburn is SEMO's first OVC Coach of the Year since 2009, and Anderson is the first Redhawk to win the Player of the Year honors since 2001.

In his fifth year at SEMO, Redburn led the Redhawks to a share of the OVC regular season title and #1 seed in this week's eight-team tournament. SEMO put together a 17-5 conference record after being picked to finish fifth in the league's Preseason Poll.

Romana Tarajova was named the Ohio Valley Conference women's tennis Freshman of the Year and earned First-Team All-OVC honors. Tarajova is the third SEMO women's tennis player to win OVC Freshman of the Year and second in three years as Oleksandra Doroshenko garnered the award in 2017.

Head coach Mary Beth Gunn said Romana played fantastic this season in the one position as a freshmen, and she handled this challenge with class and was competitive with everyone who she played against, including some strong seniors in the conference.
