The Pack Returns For An Entirely Streamed Run of “The Wolves”

As the curtain closed early on the Spring 2020 semester, River Campus productions such as “The Wolves” were thrown into uncertainty.

  

“The Wolves,” written by Sarah DeLappe, is a six-scene play focusing on a girls’ soccer team, delving into the female mind with an all-female cast directed by Roxanne Wellington. According to Public Relations and Theater Alumna Francesca Bucci, an all-female cast is typically hard to come by in theater.

According to the most recent report, Missouri is in a red zone for coronavirus cases, with the 15th highest rate of new cases in the U.S. last week.

Southeast has reported 284 total COVID-19 cases since they began tracking and reporting their data July 27. When a student receives a positive test result for the virus, specific steps are taken to ensure the safety of the student.

Music education sophomore Ella Crader is a student residing on campus who tested positive for COVID-19 a week ago. Crader is living in Dearmont and adjusting to the new arrangement.

Missouri Governor Touts Economic Recovery, Frees Up Education Funding

Missouri Gov. Mike Parson returned to his normal schedule this week, emerging from isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus to tout the state’s economic recovery on Wednesday.

Parson announced he would be releasing $133 million back into the state’s budget after the funds were originally withheld due to the state’s grim economic outlook as the coronavirus left thousands jobless.

Why Coronavirus Cases In Missouri Are Down But Hospitalizations Are At Record Highs

Missouri appears to be among the few states where COVID-19 cases are declining, but hospital data suggests the coronavirus has, in fact, been surging again.

Though coronavirus hospitalizations have reached all-time highs in Missouri, low testing rates could explain why fewer cases are being reported.

Infectious disease specialist Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, dean of the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine, said that even though more companies are offering testing and a wider varieties of tests are available, testing still remains an obstacle in Missouri.
