SEMO Spotlight highlights alumni, students, faculty and staff and their successes.

  • Breanna Miles is a Track and Field athlete at SEMO majoring in Corporate Communications with a double minor in Sports Management and Marketing.
  • Christopher Mosher is a senior at Southeast double-majoring in Trumpet Performance and Music Education. As a student, he has played in numerous concert, jazz, and marching band ensembles.
  • Brady O'Neill is a senior undergraduate student at Southeast. He will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education in May 2024.
  • Anna Simmons is a senior undergraduate student at Southeast pursuing a Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in digital art. Last fall, Anna studied abroad in France for 16 weeks with SEMO's Department of Communication Studies and Modern Languages.
  • Amy Elfrink graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1991. She later returned to her Alma Mater to pursue a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and graduated in 2020.
  • Brigit Ciskowski is a 2016 Southeast Missouri State University alumna, holding a Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis in sculpture. She is now in graduate school at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
  • This week's guest on 'SEMO Spotlight' is Tyler Lofton. He graduated in December 2023 with Southeast Missouri State's inaugural class in the Professional Pilot Program. He earned his commercial multi-engine license after completing coursework at the university and fieldwork at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
