In honor of Veterans Day, we’re sharing the stories of local veterans from all of the major wars and conflicts. Our next story comes from the Vietnam War. It’s one of the most controversial conflicts in American history. As the U.S. was going through its own societal changes, perceptions of the war were rapidly changing from support to opposition. Soldiers came back to insults and a feeling of societal isolation. Vietnam War veteran Thomas M. Meyer was one of them. This is his story.
