Redhawks women’s basketball sophomore Tesia Thompson was named to the Ohio Valley Conference First Team. This is her second consecutive All-OVC honor after earning second-team accolades last season.

Thompson finished the regular season leading the OVC in scoring with 18.5 points per game, totaling 519 points on the year. Thompson also led the league in free throws made and free throws attempted, and finished in the top 10 in rebounding.

Blazevic had a pair of hits and drove in a run during the Redhawk's midweek game at No. 1 Vanderbilt.
In a weekend sweep of Purdue-Fort Wayne, Blazevic had a trio of multi-hit games, including going 3-for-4 with four runs scored, a double, and three RBI in the finale.

Blazevic and the Redhawks are off to a blazing hot start to the season. On Wednesday, SEMO erased a four-run deficit in the bottom of the eighth inning to defeat the rival SIU Salukis.
