New Program to Help Parkinson's Patients Regain Their Voice

The Center for Speech and Hearing at Southeast Missouri State University was recently awarded a grant that provides training and resources to enable the center to provide services to patients suffering from Parkinson's. The program is called "Speak Out!" and Dan Woods spoke with Amy Herren, Clinic Coordinator with Southeast's Center for Speech and Hearing. The program is offered at no cost, thanks to the grant.

Dan is a 1994 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He majored in radio and minored in political science. He spent three of his four years at Southeast working as a student announcer at KRCU – the beginning of his radio career.
