Primary Responsibilities


• Oversee fundraising activities conducted by KRCU Public Radio
• Assist the Vice President for University Advancement and General Manager in formulating and
developing fundraising goals and activities
• Develop and contact advertising prospects and sponsors in order to grow and maximize revenue opportunities
• Seek increased membership contributions through major giving, special events, and on-air fundraisers
• Organize activities for major giving strategies at KRCU Public Radio
• Recruit and manage fundraising volunteers
• Develop new relationships with area businesses, industries and organizations to grow the base of external support for programs and initiatives at KRCU Public Radio
• Facilitate corporate sponsorship agreements, invoicing and payment timelines
• Work collaboratively with the University Advancement staff on fundraising initiatives for the University.
• Participate in the University’s comprehensive campaigns and other funding initiatives as required
• Represent the University, the Advancement Division and KRCU Public Radio as necessary at appropriate events

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, public relations, marketing, sales, advertising or related field
• Successful sales or fundraising experience
• Demonstrated understanding of multiple media channels
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines while simultaneously managing multiple projects
• Demonstrated focus on customer service and building relationships
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and a data management system
• Ability to travel throughout the region and work independently outside of a traditional office environment
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours including evenings and weekends
• Demonstrable ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multicultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
