All About Cape: Indulge in the Arts After a Nature Escape

Visit Cape

Are you trying to get more in touch with nature in 2020?  Check out the many classes and courses offered at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center.  On Thursday, February 20 learn more about how fire protects Missouri prairies during the Cape Nature Needlers class. Or learn about projects that you can do at home with the whole family to help the local critters at the Woodworking for Wildlife class on Friday, February 21.  You will even get to build a nest box as a family in this course!

If you’re a fan of exhilarating treasure hunts, then you won’t want to miss out on the Outdoor Skills Geocaching class.  On February 22 you can learn all about geocaching, a GPS-driven activity that brings nature and technology together for a fun and active adventure that is suited for all ages.

Indulge in the arts after your nature escape.  The River Campus celebrates the fine arts with the Tony Award winning “Shrek the Musical.” The musical maintains all the action and comedy of the animated film it is based upon, while adding in a musical flare.  Make plans to see “Shrek the Musical” live from February 19 to the 23 at the Bedell Performance Hall, located on the River Campus.
