Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill now supports gay marriage.
The Democratic Senator wrote on her Tumblr page Sunday night that she now believes the government “should not limit the right to marry based on who you love.”
She says churches should not be required to conduct same-sex marriages, but adds the government should not be able to prohibit its citizens from marrying who they want.
McCaskill concluded by saying her children have a hard time understanding why this is even a controversial, and thinks history will agree with her children.
