Dave Obergoenner

Dave has been a broadcast/recording engineer for over 40 years, holding an FCC General Class License, before that, an FCC First Class License.  He’s certified at the highest level of “Certified Professional Broadcast Engineer” by the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE).

Dave’s held positions of Chief Engineer, and Director of Engineering for numerous Radio and Television Stations and groups across the Mid-West for 40+ years, and has engineered in locations from Maui Hawaii, to Abbey Road Studios in London.

In the 1990’s he participated in the development and testing of what is now called “HD Radio”…the digital radio broadcasting system, which is now standard in the US.

Before that, he was post-production engineer for projects such as The Saint Louis Symphony broadcasts for NPR, and National Orchestra of France broadcasts for the BBC.

A native of St. Louis, Dave is married, father of 3, and a bass player.
