The Farmington Public Library will host Look Homeward, My Fair Pigeon on January 21.

The event, sponsored by the East Ozarks Audubon Society, will feature Charlie Klipsch, a third-generation pigeon racer.

Mr. Klipsch has spent decades training his birds to fly long distances and find their way back to the roost. Among pigeon racers, Mr. Klipsch is considered an expert.

Learn about the centuries-old practice of raising and training pigeons. Mr. Klipsch will bring some of his feathered friends for the audience to meet. Bird fanciers, animal lovers, curious people young and old—this program has something of interest for everyone.

Look Homeward, My Fair Pigeon will take place on Tuesday, January 21, from 7-8 p.m. at the Farmington Public Library.
