Southeast Missouri freshman goalkeeper Bailey Redden won her first Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honor on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
A native of Belleville, Illinois, Redden recorded 11 saves in two games last weekend, becoming the first SEMO player to win an OVC weekly honor this season. Redden recorded her third shutout of the season in a 1-0 road win at Eastern Illinois (Oct. 11). She logged a total of 204 minutes and gave up just one goal in two contests.
Redden boasts a .841 save percentage in 11 appearances and seven starts for the Redhawks this year. The Redhawks Soccer team will return home this Sunday, Oct. 21, for their final game of the regular season, a key match-up with major implications as the Redhawks look to secure their seeding for the OVC Tournament.
Redhawks Soccer is just a part of a busy home weekend for the Redhawks. SEMO Volleyball also returns home this weekend, currently sitting in third place in the OVC. The Redhawks will host Belmont for the annual Pink Up Game this evening at 6:30 p.m. inside Houck Field House.
On Saturday, October 20, the Redhawks Football teams hosts the number-4 ranked team in the country, Jacksonville State. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m., and kids 14 & under receive free admission into the game this weekend, plus there will be a number of kid-friendly activities available in front of the stadium before the game.
Following the Football game, SEMO Volleyball will host Tennessee State at 5 p.m., and admission to the volleyball game will be free for anyone with a football game ticket.
