All About Cape: Southeast Missouri's New Music Capital?

Visit Cape

Plato stated that, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”

If you enjoy a tranquil, picnic-under-the sky type atmosphere, then Tunes at Twilight is the perfect place for you. Make your way to Ivers Square on September seventh and fourteenth for the final fall event after that it won’t be back until next spring.

From stunning musicals at the River Campus to all-star concerts at the Show Me Center, there are always opportunities around town to discover new music or listen to up-and-coming acts.

This month, we have something absolutely incredible. For the first time in over a decade, Cape Girardeau will host a fresh-on-the-scene music festival. The Shipyard Music Festival is set for September twenty-second – a day-long event packed with eight killer musical artists and a crowd of energetic fans. Even the kids will enjoy hanging out and listening to the entertainers.

But what’s a festival without refreshing drinks and delicious food? Have no fear because a variety of vendors will be on-site with all kinds of yummy treats. Get your tickets to the festival soon because they surely won’t last much longer.

I think we can say Cape Girardeau is striving to be the music capital of Southeast Missouri!
