Speaking of holiday favorites, Christmas at the Glenn House is open for seasonal tours every Saturday and Sunday through December 18th. Christmas tours at this handsomely restored Victorian home at 325 S. Spanish Street began as early as 1979 or 1980, right around the time when the house first opened up for tours. Holiday tours in the current format have been taking place for over 10 years now, and if it isn’t already, this is one Christmas tradition you’ll want to add to your list.
Every single year, a devoted group of volunteers spends hours planning, designing and shopping as they prepare to decorate over a dozen trees throughout the Glenn House. Every year, the decorations are shaken up, redesigned and refreshed and ornaments, garlands baubles and more fill this historic home with the holiday spirit. Take a tour of this beautifully decorated home Saturdays and Sundays through December 18th from 1 - 4 p.m., and stop by the carriage house afterwards for cookies, cider and Christmas carols.
